Can I reopen an auction after it has closed?
No. Once bidding has taken place and payments have been processed, an auction campaign cannot be reopened or reused. If you only closed your auction temporarily with "Close sales", it can still be reopened with "Open sales" before bidding has concluded.
Reopen an auction you closed temporarily
If you closed sales before bidding ended and no payments have been processed yet, you can reopen the same auction:
Go to Fundraising > Campaigns in your Zeffy dashboard.
Click the three dots to the right of your auction form.
Click "Open sales".
Bidding resumes with the same items, bids, and close date.
Collect additional payments after your auction closed
Once your auction's close date has passed, winning payments are processed automatically (usually within 10 to 30 minutes) and the campaign cannot be reused. To collect payments from additional people, create a separate sales or donation page:
A custom sales form with a ticket at the amount owed. See How can I charge my bidder if their auction payment fails?
A donation form with a free-entry amount field. See How to handle in-person auction payments for the setup steps.
Run bidding again with a new auction
If you want to hold another bidding period, close the existing campaign and create a new auction with its own close date:
In your Zeffy dashboard, click "Campaigns".
Click "+ New campaign".
Select the event option, then select "Auction".
Configure your new auction, including its own end date and time.
