Connecting an Existing Stripe Account to Zeffy
If your organization already uses Stripe or has an existing Stripe account, you cannot connect it directly to Zeffy. Instead, you'll need to complete the verification process so that a custom connected Stripe account can be created for your organization.
Why a Custom Stripe Account Is Required
Zeffy uses a custom integration with Stripe called Stripe Custom Connect. This integration allows you to manage all banking and payment information directly in Zeffy without switching between platforms.
Most importantly, this custom integration is what enables Zeffy to cover all transaction fees on your behalf.
Because Zeffy absorbs all fees, there's no cost to sign up. Once you complete your banking verification, your Zeffy/Stripe account is automatically created, and you can start accepting payments and receiving payouts.
What About My Existing Stripe Account?
Your existing Stripe account remains separate and unaffected. You can continue using it for any other platforms or payment needs outside of Zeffy. Your Zeffy account will have its own dedicated Stripe connected account.
