Hide, schedule, or delete a ticket rate or item
Zeffy has no "hide" toggle for individual tickets. To take a ticket rate or item off sale, schedule its availability with start and end dates, reduce its quantity so it shows as sold out, or delete it: deleting archives the ticket type permanently. You can upvote a hide toggle on our feature request board.
Schedule a ticket instead of hiding it
Scheduling changes the availability of one ticket rate only: outside its start and end dates the ticket is not on sale, and the rest of your form keeps selling. This is done from your dashboard on a desktop.
Go to your dashboard, open "Campaigns" and click "Edit" to the right of your form.
In the "Tickets" step, click "Options" on the ticket.
Set the start date (start date of the campaign or a custom date) and the end date (end date of the campaign or a custom date). You can set both or just one.
Before the start date and after the end date, the ticket is not on sale. See Schedule ticket availability or add a waitlist to an event for the full setup and early bird examples.
Hiding vs closing: what is the difference?
Scheduling a ticket (the closest thing to hiding) changes the availability of one ticket rate only. Outside its start and end dates, that ticket is not on sale; everything else on the form keeps selling.
Closing sales stops sales for the whole form, for every ticket at once. Set an automatic sales close date in the "Date and time" step, or close sales manually from your dashboard under "Campaigns" using "Close sales". See How to set an automatic sales open and close date or close ticket sales manually.
Delete a ticket type (archive it)
Deleting a ticket type (sometimes called a ticket rate) from a campaign archives it permanently: it can't be recovered, it drops out of the ticket-type filter in your dashboard, and tickets already purchased under it stay valid and visible in your exports.
What "Archived" means
When you delete a ticket type, it is marked as "Archived" and cannot be recovered. Archiving a ticket type is separate from archiving a whole campaign, which keeps the form viewable and can be undone. See Archive a form to stop payments and sort forms by activity.
What happens to tickets already purchased
Tickets bought before the ticket type was deleted remain valid. Buyers keep their e-tickets and QR codes, which keep working. A ticket is invalidated only when it is cancelled: cancelling a ticket voids its QR code and makes the ticket number available for sale again. See Managing Refunds and Ticket Cancellations in Zeffy.
Viewing purchases of an archived ticket type
The archived ticket type's name no longer appears in the ticket-type filter in your dashboard's guest list, so you can't filter those purchases by it there. You can still see them by exporting your ticket data: the export keeps those purchases, including the ticket type name, so you can filter the exported file for that name. See Export or download all payments or tickets associated with a specific form.
Alternatives to deleting a ticket type
If you want a ticket type out of buyers' view without deleting it:
Schedule the ticket's availability. Set a start date in the future or an end date that has passed so the ticket is not on sale now, without deleting it. See Schedule ticket availability or add a waitlist to an event.
Reduce the "Number of tickets available" for the ticket type in its "Options" so it shows as sold out. See Why a form states it is full and how to make more tickets available.
