Deleting or archiving a ticket rate or item
Deleting a ticket type (sometimes called a ticket rate) from a campaign archives it permanently: it can't be recovered, it drops out of the ticket-type filter in your dashboard, and tickets already purchased under it stay valid and visible in your exports. To hide a ticket type instead of deleting it, set it as an early bird ticket with the sales date in the past, or reduce its availability so it shows as sold out.
What "Archived" means
When you delete a ticket type, it is marked as "Archived" and cannot be recovered.
Archiving a ticket type is separate from archiving a whole campaign, which keeps the form viewable and can be undone — see Archive a form to stop payments and sort forms by activity.
What happens to tickets already purchased
Tickets bought before the ticket type was deleted remain valid. Buyers keep their e-tickets and QR codes, which keep working.
A ticket is invalidated only when it is cancelled — cancelling a ticket voids its QR code and makes the ticket number available for sale again. See Managing Refunds and Ticket Cancellations in Zeffy.
Viewing purchases of an archived ticket type
The archived ticket type's name no longer appears in the ticket-type filter in your dashboard's guest list, so you can't filter those purchases by it there.
You can still see them by exporting your ticket data: the export keeps those purchases, including the ticket type name, so you can filter the exported file for that name. See Export or download all payments or tickets associated with a specific form.
Alternatives to deleting a ticket type
If you want to hide a ticket type from buyers, use one of these options instead of deleting it:
Set it as an early bird ticket with the sales date in the past. The ticket type closes and disappears from your form automatically. Once early-bird sales close, the ticket can't be shown on the form again. See Add early bird tickets or a waitlist to an event.
Reduce the number of tickets available for the ticket type so it shows as sold out. See Why a form states it is full and how to make more tickets available.
