Understanding campaign visibility and privacy
Campaigns are live when created
When you finish creating a campaign on Zeffy, it is automatically published and live. The campaign page is accessible on the web and can accept donations, registrations, ticket purchases, or other transactions immediately.
Can people find my campaign before I share it?
Your campaign is not actively promoted by Zeffy before you share the link, so supporters should not be able to find it unless they have the direct URL. However, because the campaign page is a public web page, it may be indexed by search engines over time. It can also appear on your public Zeffy profile if you have one enabled.
This means campaigns should not be considered fully private or hidden, even if you have not yet shared the link with anyone.
How to prevent sales before you are ready to share
If you want to finish setting up your campaign or wait for a specific launch date before accepting payments, you can manually close sales until you are ready. When sales are closed, visitors can still see the campaign page but cannot complete a transaction.
Go to Campaigns in your dashboard.
Click the three dots (⋯) to the right of your campaign.
Select Close sales.
When you are ready to launch, return to the same menu and select Open sales.
Set a close date for your sales to close sales automatically or closing your sales manually
Why a form states it is "closed" and how to reopen sales
Private campaigns are not currently available
Zeffy does not offer a private, hidden, or password-protected campaign mode. There is no setting within the software to make a form or event invisible to the public or restrict access to specific individuals.
Other organizations have requested this feature. You can vote for it and receive updates on its development here:
Controlling resharing from the Thank You page
After a supporter completes a transaction, they land on a Thank You page that includes social sharing options. This can lead to your campaign link being reshared by attendees. If you want to reduce this, you can set up a custom redirection to a different Thank You page that does not include those sharing links. Contact Zeffy support with the URL of the page you would like to use.
