Connect Zeffy to Claude or ChatGPT
Connect your Zeffy organization to Claude or ChatGPT and ask questions about your fundraising data in plain language, such as "How much did we raise this quarter?" or "Who are our lapsed donors?".
Only an Owner of the Zeffy organization can make the connection.
Connect in Claude
Open Settings in Claude and go to Connectors.
Find Zeffy and click Connect.
On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, a Claude organization owner adds Zeffy first, then each member connects it from their own account.
If Zeffy is not listed in the connector directory, add it as a custom connector with the URL https://api.zeffy.com/mcp.
Connect in ChatGPT
Open Apps in ChatGPT.
Find Zeffy and click Connect.
Authorize Zeffy
Authorization links the connector to the organization whose data it can read.
Sign in to Zeffy.
Pick the organization you want to connect.
Click Authorize.
Access is read-only by default. Tick "Create, update and delete contacts, and record or delete manual payments" only if you want Claude or ChatGPT to make changes for you. With that access, it asks you before each deletion.
What the connector can read
The connector reads data from the organization you picked during authorization:
Payments
Donors and contacts
Campaigns and events
Memberships
Funds and payouts
It can also read the Zeffy help center.
What the connector cannot do
Even with write access enabled, the connector cannot:
Change or refund online payments
Send emails
Change settings
Access other organizations
Disconnect or change the access level
Remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT to disconnect Zeffy. To change the access level, disconnect and connect again.
Zeffy also has a Data Assistant inside your dashboard's Insights page that needs nothing outside Zeffy: see Ask questions about your fundraising data with the Data Assistant.
