Making a Payment

Making a donation or payment on Zeffy

Whether you're donating to a cause you love or buying tickets to an event, here's everything you need to know about paying on Zeffy.

Finding the Right Page

Zeffy doesn't have a public marketplace meaning you won't be able to search for organizations, events, or donation pages directly on our website. If you landed on Zeffy looking to make a donation or payment, you'll need the direct link to the specific page you're trying to reach (a donation form, event registration, raffle, etc.).

Not sure where to find it? Nonprofits that use Zeffy typically share their links on their website or social media. If you can't find it, we'd recommend reaching out directly to the organization or event organizer, they'll be happy to point you in the right direction!

Payment Methods

Once you're on the right page, here are the payment options available to you:

Credit Cards or Debit Cards πŸ’³

You can donate using all major credit cards β€” Visa, Mastercard, and Amex β€” as well as CVV debit cards. This option is available for payments up to $4,999. Simply select the credit card option, enter your details, and click confirm.

ACH / PAD 🏦

For amounts exceeding $4,999, you can pay via ACH (Automated Clearing House) or PAD (Pre-Authorized Debit). Select this option, click "donate" or "complete," and you'll be prompted to enter your banking information. ACH/PAD transactions are secure and follow the same industry standards as credit card payments.

Please note: for event, raffle, and other sales forms with a configured event date, the ACH/PAD option will not be available starting 10 days before the event. This is to prevent overselling given the longer processing time associated with these transactions.

Apple Pay / Google Pay 🍎

If you have Apple Pay or Google Pay set up on your device or browser, these options will automatically appear during checkout β€” no extra steps needed. Note that these payment methods won't be visible on embedded forms.

Cheque πŸ’·

For amounts over $1,000, some organizations also accept payment by cheque. This option must be enabled by the nonprofit in their form settings, so if you don't see it, it means the organization hasn't activated it. Cheque payments are available for one-time donations only and cannot be used for recurring monthly giving.
