Zeffy payouts: Payout schedules, amounts and reports

This article explains how Zeffy payouts work, when funds move to your bank account, and where to find payout reports.

How often can I receive my payouts?

Funds can be deposited in your account either weekly, every Monday, or monthly, on the first Monday of the month. By default, you are on a weekly schedule.

Payouts cannot be triggered manually, delayed until the end of a campaign, or sent more than once a week.

You can set your preferred payout schedule in your settings. Click your name at the bottom left, click Settings, then select Payout schedule under the Bank section.

You can also change your preferred schedule in the Finances tab. To get there, navigate to Finances in the left-side menu and click the Edit schedule button next to the payout amount.

How are funds sent to my bank account?

When you set up your Zeffy account, you will be asked to add your bank account information. Funds are deposited automatically by direct deposit to the bank account you added. Make sure the connected bank account can accept direct deposits.

Your payout is made out to your organization's name, so the connected bank account must be registered under that name, either your legal name or your doing business as name.

When can I expect a payment to be included in my payout?

When funds are received in your Zeffy account, they go through a mandatory anti-fraud security review. There is a 1-3 day processing period before the funds are released for payout. During this processing time, the funds appear in the processing section under Finances > Payouts.

For your payout to arrive in your account by Monday morning, or on the first Monday of the month, it must be initiated a few days before. If you receive payments shortly before the payout date, they may not have enough time to be processed and included in the upcoming payout.

If the amount of your payout was not what you were expecting, please note:

For weekly payout schedules, payments received late on Thursdays, on Fridays, or over the weekend may not be processed in time to be included in the Monday payout.

For monthly payout schedules, payments received within 3-4 days of the payout date may not be processed in time to be included in your payout on the first Monday of the month.

Payments that were not processed in time for the payout will be included in the following week or month.

How to understand the different amounts found on the Payouts page

  1. Upcoming payout is the amount available for your next bank transfer. On the day your payout is initiated, whatever appears under upcoming payout will be paid out.

  2. Transaction processing is the amount that has not cleared yet. Once those funds are processed, they move to the upcoming payout section.

  3. Total balance is the sum of the upcoming payout and transaction processing amounts.

If you are concerned about a missing payout, or want to know why your payout has not been received, check the status under Payout history. It can take 1-2 business days from the date listed under ETA for the funds to appear in your account.

Payout reports

For reporting and reconciliation, you can access each payout report under Finances > Payouts. You will see a list of your recently deposited payouts, and you can click one to open the list of transactions included in it.

Obtain a report with your Zeffy payout history

You can export the list of all payouts you have ever received in Zeffy. It includes the payout ID, amount, creation date, arrival date, statement descriptor, status, account holder name, and account name.

To obtain this report, click the Export button to the right of the Payout history section.

Obtain a report of all transactions included in a specific payout

To export a report of the transactions included in a specific payout, go to Finances > Payouts and click the payout you want.

You will be brought to a page that displays a list of all transactions included in that payout. Click the Export button above the list of payouts to download a spreadsheet.

This payout report contains the transaction ID, payment amount, category, contact first name, last name and email, payment creation date, date it became available for payout, and the form where the payment was made.
