Creating discount, coupon or promo codes

You can set discount codes for either a dollar or percentage amount on event, membership, raffle and online store forms.

 

⚠️ The instructions below only apply to event forms where our new live-form editor is implemented. To add discount codes on membership, raffle and online store forms, go to "Advanced settings" in your form editor. Tick the option "Add discount codes" to add one or multiple discount codes. You can determine the code and the discount amount, either in a $ amount or as a % of the price. You can also limit the number of uses for each code.

To create a discount code:

  1. Log into your Zeffy dashboard on a computer
  2. Create a new form or edit an existing one by going to "My forms" and clicking "Edit" next to the form name
  3. In the form editor, click "Discount codes" in the left sidebar
  4. Click "Add discount code"
  5. Configure your discount code:
    • Enter the code name
    • Choose either percentage or dollar amount
    • Set the discount amount
    • Optionally set a usage limit (e.g., limit to 10 uses for 10 volunteers)
  6. Click "Save" in the top right to apply your changes
Important note: Discount codes are case sensitive.

To use a discount code:

After selecting their items, buyers can enter the discount code in the payment section before choosing their payment method. Only one discount code can be used per purchase.

✅ When a valid code is entered, the discount will be automatically applied and shown in the order summary.

Tracking who used a discount code:

There are two ways to track discount code usage:
  1. View individual transactions:
    • Go to "Payments"
    • Click on a specific transaction
    • The discount code used will be displayed in the transaction details

Is it possible to have discount codes for specific tickets/items?
