Introducing Zeffy's new membership cards!

We’ve just refreshed the look of your members’ member cards — same membership (and member number), same benefits, just a cleaner and more modern design.

Key considerations regarding this update:

Will my members information change? 

🔄 No, there is no action needed on your end — everything stays the same for your organization. This update is simply a visual improvement to make the cards more secure and easier to use for your supporters.

Here's what it looks like!

The membership card will display the following information: 

  • Your member's name
  • The expiry date of their membership
  • The issue date of their membership
  • Answers to custom questions will also appear on the membership card 
  • Your member's chosen membership type 
  • Your organization's name
  • A QR code which they can scan to obtain the details of their membership

🌟 The newly generated membership cards for existing and active memberships will maintain all original membership details, including expiry dates and membership numbers. While the core information remains unchanged, members will benefit from a refreshed card design that enhances usability.

💡 How will my members receive their new card?

All members will have received their new card by email as of July 31st 2025. Please note that new cards have been generated for all active members only. 

You may also view the new membership card by heading to "Fundraising" clicking on your membership form in question and then selecting "Payments" at the top. Simply search for the name or email of the person you'd like to view the card for and click on their payment. Then select "E-ticket" to download the PDF with the new membership card. You may also print the pdf directly to give your member a physical copy!

🎟️ Scanning the new QR code on the membership card

  • To scan the QR codes on the membership card, you can use any smartphone camera or QR-code scanning app (there is no special app or device that you need to scan our QR codes)

  • Open your camera or scanner and hold it over the QR code.

  • Click on the Zeffy link that the QR code redirects to.

Your member will then be brought to a page which indicates: 

  1. Their membership number (membership numbers will automatically start at number one, and increase by one per membership purchased on your form)
  2. The status of their membership (active or expired)
  3. Their name and email address
  4. The date the membership started/was issued on
  5. The expiration date, or for a non expiring membership as pictured above, it will simply say 'no expiration'.

🙋‍♀️ Can I customize my membership cards? 

At the moment, it is not currently possible to customize what information appears on a membership card or revert back to the old version.
