There's a charge on my bank statement from Zeffy that I don't recognize.

Why was I charged from Zeffy on my statement ?

💡Zeffy is secure online fundraising software designed to support non-profit organizations in their fundraising efforts. A charge labeled "Zeffy" on your credit card statement is likely associated with : 

  • A donation to a non-profit organization
  • The purchase of a ticket for an event organized by a non-profit organization (museums, foundations, schools, etc.). 
  • A donation made in the name of a friend or family member who has raised funds for a cause.
  • A ticket purchased for a raffle organized as part of a charity fundraising event
  • An item you have purchased for an organization
  • A membership fee paid to join an organization

What can I do if I still don't recognize this charge?

1️⃣ Search your inbox with Zeffy

We recommend that you check your inbox for an e-mail from "Zeffy". If you have made a transaction through Zeffy, you will have received a transaction receipt at the e-mail address used for the transaction. In this e-mail, you can obtain more information about the payment.

Don't forget to check your spam folder, in case the transaction is in there! 

2️⃣ Also check the complete transaction descriptor on your statement. in case the transaction ended there! 

The descriptor should include "ZEFFY" as well as the name or acronym of the organization you supported. For example, if you bought a ticket for an event organized to benefit a non-profit organization called the Delorean Foundation, the bank descriptor could read "ZEFFY - DELO FOUNDATION".
