Email data and statuses in Zeffy

Go to the Email section of your Zeffy account to track emails you send to your supporters.

Track email performance

You can easily track the performance of the emails you send in Zeffy. To view information about emails you've sent, navigate to "Contacts" in the left hand side menu and click "Emails"

In the "Sent" section you will see

  • The date the email was sent 
  • The subject line of the email 
  • The number of recipients (click the email to see the list of recipients included)
  • The open rate - this is the percentage of recipients who have opened the email you sent
  • The click rate - this is the percentage of recipients who clicked on a link shared in the email
  • The Zeffy user who sent the email (note: the person who clicks "Send" has their email as the "reply-to" for all recipients. The "sender" email is always contact@zeffy.com)

View the delivery status of your emails

Click on the email whose performance you would like to see, and a window will open towards the right of your screen.

Understanding email statuses

  1. Delivered: The email has been sent successfully to the recipient's inbox but they have yet to open or click a link in the email.
  2. Pending: The sending of this email has been initiated and will be delivered if the email is valid and if there are no issues with the recipient's inbox. 
  3. Opened: The email has been opened by the recipient. 
  4. Clicked: A link in the email has been clicked by the recipient. 
  5. Failed: The email could not be delivered to the email address listed.
